Delaney Shea
President
Delaney is a 5th year graduate student in the Ibsen Lab. Her research involves engineering probiotics to treat diseases. Outside of the lab, she likes to hike, bake, paint, get excessive coffee and boba with friends, and volunteer with mental health and food security organizations.

Sarah Mitchell
Vice President - External
Sarah is a 4th year BME PhD candidate working with Dr. Stuart Ibsen in the CEDAR center at the Knight Cancer Institute. Her current work is in the dielectrophoretic separation and characterization of biological nanoparticles analyzed for the early detection of pancreatic cancer. Her prior research was focused on the synthesis of gold nanoparticles, followed by a year in the research and development department at a clinical diagnostic lab validating at-home blood collection based assays. Beyond the lab, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, and trying new food and coffee places around Portland.

Cole Baker
Secretary
Cole is currently a third year student at the Hinds Lab. He began his career in research as a research assistant at PDX Pharmaceuticals, a start-up company focused on cancer therapeutics. After gaining lab experience, Cole decided to pursue a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on translating devices into the clinic. Cole now works on testing devices and therapeutics for use in cardiovascular applications, including new resorbable arterial stents, different TAVR's, and anticoagulant drugs for use in ECMO.

Holly Day
Treasurer
Holly is a 5th year PhD student working under the mentorship of Dr. Carolyn Schutt Ibsen. Her research involves tissue engineering vascular models to assess breast cancer progression and behavior. Outside of the lab, she likes to baking, gaming, and reading.

Subhamoy Biswas
Communications Director
Subhamoy is a 2nd year PhD student working under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Jacobs. His research focuses on leveraging language models for personalized diabetic recommendations. Originally from India, he earned his MASc in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo, Canada. Outside work, he enjoys photography, hiking, and gaming.
